Very good questions and arguments. It feels, today, that a company website is no different than a second hand store. A place to go a for internet nostalgia. I still think a website is a legitimizing artifact that is on its way out.

The discovery of a company most often happens on platforms like Instagram; and, if I like a product advertised this naturally takes me to their website. Though frankly, this may not be a necessity in the near future when built in shop experiences are being baked into those platforms that were once a gateway to a company's website. A question worth thinking about. Great post.
