Before I go into this topic, I want to preface my discussion by acknowledging its sensitivity and the potential for misinterpretation. This is a subject I’ve considered exploring for several months now, since some friends brought this to my attention, as something I should consider writing about. But I wish to provide a disclaimer that if you are commenting that you do so respectfully, given the fine line between constructive conversation and inadvertently offending others. Unfortunately, this is the reality we face today in our Canadian work culture and the fact that so many of my peers are talking about it as well as quitting jobs over the changing workplace, it’s crucial to centre the topic for the attention that it deserves.
