“Technology is the natural extension of human evolution, and the human is the sex organs of the machine world, as the bee is to the plant world, enabling it to fecundate and to evolve ever new forms.” — Kevin Kelly.

Have you ever danced with a robot that understood every twirl and tap? Me neither, but interacting with ChatGPT sometimes feels like we’re trying to tango. I expect it is still learning and so I am not yet able to do a whole lot of things I wish it would do, but it is not there quite yet. For example, I use the image generator quite a bit and sometimes the images have an unreal number of “people” or people missing body parts.

And so, I return to Pixabay and Unsplash because who has time?

But in a magical world, here’s my whimsical wish list for making this dance a bit less… toe-stepping.

1. The mind reader mode

Sometimes, I wish ChatGPT could just use my own words. Imagine it as my personal editor, turning my midnight ramblings into Shakespearean sonnets without changing the essence. Less “robotic parrot,” more “mind-reading wordsmith.” In such cases, I am not looking for the ChatGPT version but just an edit. Integrating an editor, as in word and allowing on the spot edit in the app would be such a great addition to the tool’s capability.

2. The memory chest

Oh, to have ChatGPT save my frequent prompts! It would be like having a magical diary…
