Interesting point of view, Pawan. It is not a disagreeable point. However, students are a byproduct of their upbringing. I stopped managing teams in 2018 because I noticed then a crazy trend that I thought was odd - In 1 year I had 3 folks come to interviews with their mom or dad. I was stunned. To be connected to ones umbilical cord for a job interview? The same students whose parents lived near/ on campuses with them. It is a trend that is a function of parenting and does not exist in a vacuum. Thanks for sharing this link. I read similar one here in Canada - we call them the Snowflake generation. Perhaps I will write a blog on this as I am determine not to raise snowflakes. Thank you for engaging with my post.
