I expect you can say as a Design Leader I was sidelined when I published my book "User Experience in the Age of Sustainability." I sought to have a conversation then but I was dubbed a "granola activist designer." The book is now a textbook many years later.

So, indeed, I have also tried to frame this within this context to lukewarm appeal. I expect companies are all all platitudes.

Lastly, I was not aware (as a Canadian) about the Alt Right Christian associations with Humanism. A lot of the nuances are lost on us as up here as we have less and less access to US news since Jan 2024. We have slightly different Religious cultures I expect but I see a related comment, I think that alludes to your point. Thanks for sharing this.
