I am a quiet introvert and the idea of return to an office gives me anxiety

“Solitude is a catalyst for innovation.” — Susan Cain.

A few weeks ago, I changed my work laptop password during an upgrade. In my attempt to sign back in after the upgrade, I was locked out. I was forced to go into the office to sort things out. I had been using this very same password for four weeks and had developed finger-memory so I knew my password. Something was off.

As it turned out I was not alone.

When I got to my physical office, I discovered that this was an enterprise issue and if I tried signing in on the local area network (LAN), it may work; it didn’t. I requested more information as to why because I am annoying like that. I will not bore you with the details but I have a MacIntosh computer (MAC) and this was an issue relegated to MACs and not PCS. Long story short, I decided to wait around until my laptop was fixed and made do with a PC loaner till then.
