“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” — Albert Einstein.

The tension between process and creativity is an ongoing battle. On one hand, processes are essential for ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability. On the other hand, creativity thrives in environments that allow freedom, experimentation, and flexibility. The clash between these two forces often leaves creative individuals struggling to flourish within rigid, process-driven corporate spaces.

In this post, I express how stringent processes can stifle creativity and why creatives often find themselves at odds with such environments. I use my own personal work journey illustrating how I have fared in both creative and non creative spaces, alike, and also look at the impact it has had on me personally. From winning awards in places that prize creativity to micromanaged in places that do not, it has been a journey worth talking about.

Given my own experiences I also makes some suggestions on how this can be managed.

A widening sea of sameness
