“I know you’re out there. I can feel you now. I know that you’re afraid. You’re afraid of us. You’re afraid of change. I don’t know the future. I didn’t come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it’s going to begin. I’m going to hang up this phone, and then I’m going to show these people what you don’t want them to see. I’m going to show them a world without you. A world without rules or controls, borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you.”

- Neo, The Matrix

So something happened!

Last year I had an epiphany. I was in a dead-end job that had morphed over time with the addition of more responsibilities and a dilution of the skills for which I was not hired. I am sure some of you can identify — you took on a job, and over time, it becomes something else. I was a Designer who, while asleep had become a Design Leader / Therapist/ Forum Manager/ Personality Manager and was plagued by issues beyond my skills, including the growing corporate politics of silos and fiefdoms. How did I get here? It was with a clarity I heard my strongest inner voice scream:

Get Out!

What am I doing with my life?
