Working from home (wfh) has been a privilege I have cherished for nearly twelve years, long before it became widespread. In those earlier days, I occasionally made trips into the Greater Toronto area, my home office base, to lunch with my team, or, on a whim because traffic was tolerable that day. The flexibility to choose whether to go in or not was a luxury. However, this mode of working, while ideal for some, isn’t for everyone. So, when recently there are whispers of my company mandating a three-day return to the office, it piqued my interest — and not in a positive way.
